•lay down
Lay down on a couch or a bed and try to take a quick nap. The longer you nap the more the pain in your stomach will go away. Napping helps settle the stomach because you are not moving around or cause your body to do any weird activities.
•drink some ginger ale or sprite
Light airy drinks that have some carbonation helps settle the acid causing the pain in your stomach. After drinking 1-2 cups of it you should start to feel better.
•mint or citrus flavored water
Has the same affect as the above drink just some parents do not allow sodas or carbonated drinks.
•eat bread (wheat for quicker relief)
The bread that you eat will go into your stomach and absorb the extra acid that is causing the burning/painful sensation. Eat 1-2 pieces of bread or maybe more if the pain is persistent.
•take a hot bath
The hot bath will loosen the tense muscles causing the pain to slowly but surly go away.
•avoid fatty or oily foods
They can just make the pain worse. The oil or fat in the foods will cause more acid to form in the stomach increasing the pain.
